COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course examines marriage from a biblical perspective and provides practical tips for husbands and wives to apply the biblical model. It also exposes the unhealthy communication habits that cause conflict in marriage and provides tools to interrupt the negative patterns. Lastly, students are taught about mission and purpose in their marriage and given a template to write a “Marriage Mission.”
What You Will Learn
Objective 1
Identify and apply the biblical model of a healthy marriage from the wife’s perspective and from the husband’s perspective.
Objective 2
Expose the unhealthy communication habits that cause conflict in marriage and learn tools to interrupt the negative patterns.

About The Instructors
Adam King, MA, CLC
Karissa King, MA, LMFT
Adam and Karissa King have been working as a coach-therapist team since 2011 and are dedicated to helping couples become intimately connected, get adventurous, and find purpose. They have a practice in Elk Grove, CA and also serve couples all over the world through online marriage counseling and coaching. Adam and Karissa hold Master’s degrees from Biola University and National University respectively and are both certified facilitators through Prepare-Enrich Marriage Counseling. Aside from counseling, they are also ministers, preach and teach discipleship courses at The Rock Church (Elk Grove, CA), teach courses at Wilson University, and study Apologetics (Adam’s Master’s Degree) and Bible and Theology (Karissa’s PhD, ABD degree).
Adam and Karissa enjoy backpacking, traveling and being lifelong students. They have a 1-year-old daughter, a 3-month-old son, and a golden doodle – all of whom accompany them on various adventures.
